Message from Alison (Moskowitz) Morano
I had a dream last night about the GJR. I had not thought about that place for
years. I woke this morning and immediately searched for the Republic. Here I am.
I am now Alison Moskowitz-Morano, married 14 years and I have a 13 year old
daughter and a 9 year old son.
I was at the Republic for 18 months, around 81-83. I lived in Terry House with
Dick and Karen Cooney. I hear they had a bit of trouble after I left.
I do not ever talk about my time at the GJR. No one could EVER really understand
what the H*ll I am talking about anyway. Did being there help me??
Hard to say. I had alot of trouble AFTER I left (I was almost 18) I do not think
I had any support after my discharge. I made it through though.
I see a few names I remember well, and a few faces as well.
